HELP STILL CANT DRAG\DROP INSOLENCE OR DUPLICATE THINGS

Post by t_mann05 »

Hey guys i just got a RAM upgrade. i went from 192MB to 384MB. I couldnt drag\drop or duplicate anything in Insolence because i was getting "windows low on virtual memory" errors. I am running windows XP. Now after my RAM upgrade, i tried duplicating an item in Insolence and now i am getting this error box.....

"An unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this eror and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will be shut down immediiately.

Exception of type System.OutOfMemoryException was thrown.

So i still cant duplicate things because it still says im out of memory when i just got a big RAM upgrade. I also still cant Drag\drop things. It just sits there and doesnt move. I know how long it takes to do this and i know its not working because during this process, if you try and click somthing while its drag\dropping, it takes forever because the drag\drop process slows down the computer alot. When i tried drag\drop today, i could click on things easily, so i know its not working still.

So i am thinking i need to change some virtual memory settings or

i used to be able to do it until i got "low on virtual memory error windows popping up when i tried drag\dropping. I looked at my RAM again and it says i have 143MB available and 384MB total. Can i change my settings to allow more to be used or somthing?

I can do it on my 128 ram computer. So RAM is not an issue.

Try using original backed up maps becuase sometimes I get a similar error when I use maps that are already modded somehow.

I think in either Insolence or Serenity, there's a way to make it hard to get stuff out of modded maps so that people don't steal maps that are made by others. See if you can find out if thats the case with the maps you're using.

What is your paging file set at?

Post by t_mann05 »

When i duplicate an item in Insolence, i get an error message saying Windows paging file minimum too low. It is was set on no paging file. Then i set it on system managed size which was 395. Then i saw at the bottom the recommended setting was 574. So i put it on Custom and set the Initial size to 574 and the maximum size to 1148. I went back to Insolence and tried to duplicate a weapon again and i got a "System out of Memory error." When like a week ago i just put in a RAM upgrade of 256mb so i have a total of 394 on the PC and available memory is 143. So what are your guy's paging file size? Can someone help me?
