Ok, I made this model in 3ds Max, and I was hoping that someone here could tell me what I need to do to get it into halo 2. ( or atleast in an .obj file format.) Thank you for your time

I would follow this tutorial http://www.halomods.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=34023 (which is stickied in this forum) because it works very well.
I would make sure that you have more polies on the model u made than the original because the file size of your model needs to be larger than that of the original.
They use milkshape in the tut, but it works just as easy in max (well, easier for me neways)
Now, to get the model to export correctly from max, u have to uncheck the normals option on the export dialog box, i also uncheck the rotate model option aswell.
For some reason i got an error in one of the programs but i dont remember which one, lol so i would still import the model again after u exported it from max into milkshape and then export it into an obj again from milkshake.
I think thats about it, try that out and let me know if u have ne questions
