Well...perfection isnt very well possible unless you were to have a high poly model..but point being..i just want to stop in to say whats up and throw a recent render in..and i mean hey..to step things up makes people want to strive for something better...the more we strive the more fun rendering is for us...but for people to just say "oh...well i dont care because its not perfect" is just blasphemy and it takes the fun out of what we want to do. Just render your best...and as you see other people get better at what they are doing strive to take it a step further...who is to say the mc bungie makes is perfect...i mean yeah they created it..but what if it doesnt completely look as how they invisioned it...thats why they have people striving to make it look that much better behind the scenes...try to keep rendering fun people..when Mr. T and I rendered back in the day in halo 1 days all it was, was good plain fun for us to see what we could make of a model and some materials. hell even when veegie started rendering it was fun to teach him some of the shit i knew..and he taught me a thing or 2 as well..but we kept it fun and not all business bs

intended to be a recreation of the cutscene "Objects in Mirror are Closer than they Appear", but, didnt come out exactly accurate to ingame. I did what i could tho, along with Ben's help

Just to compare the different bump maps, I have rendered this one with my bump map, which one do you guys think looks the best? Thank goes to Veegie also for helping me setup this bump map correctly.

I think the second picture looks better, it's more smooth, as opposed to the crisp, sharp lines in the first. That's my opinion, both look great however

Here is a render i did useing an HDRI Veegie made and i also used his tut to understand how to do it
