OK the reason for the shortage of 360's is becuase microsoft sent a majority to japan hoping that they would get some sales from japan or something like that and it back fired so now they have TOYS R US like stores lined with 360s that no one wants...

actually, Nintendo still has a big footing In Japan, and so does Sega. Microsoft isnt big in Japan, and if you watched TGS, Nintendo had a pretty big booth. Japan is REALLY anticipating the release of the Evolution, so they are really behind Nintendo. Its true that Sony too has a pretty big part to play in the gaming scene, with a large Library of Japan Only Games (plus Sony's payin some huge money for add placement.) So Microsoft really has no room in Japan. Like what you guys said, Microsoft is trying to invade a Sony World. and they cant cut it with the X Box360. (with PS3 around the corner, X Box 360 looks grim in Japan.)
