mipmaps

is there some way to remove the mipmaps before i open the texture in paint.net? i dont have photoshop, and ive heard people say not to include the mipmaps when you open it, and then when you save it save it with the mipmaps. with paint it doesnt give you an option to open with or without mipmaps. if anyone has paint.net can you help????????????????

ive never really used paint.net i'd use photoshop because its really easy to use and it gives you the option to display mips or not when you open the file

Use Photoshop or at the very least, Paint Shop Pro. Paint.net is awful, especially for skinning.

is paint shop pro free? do you need a xp service pack to install?
