Coagulation skin: The Meadow (pictures by P8ntballer24)
Howdy. A friend and I are making a mod, and it's my job to skin the map. I've spent some time trying to make the map look real, and have even made sure my skins are seamless (I love learning new things in photoshop). I made every skin myself either with a digital paintbrush (the stars) or with photographs I've aquired. I've never posted a skin before, and was a bit hesitant to post at all having read the responses some other new modders have recieved from their mods, but I really don't care if what I hear is negative. If I need to change something, let me know and I'll do my best. I really want to help make this mod a great one.
Again, this is ONLY a skin, so I don't feel it needs more description. It's fairly obvious when you open the map what all I've changed. I don't have a capture card (heck, I don't even have an xbox mic...) so if someone with a capture card feels it's a worthy skin, feel free to post pictures. It'd be greatly appreciated. I hope you enjoy it.

P.S. PM me if you ever need a seamless skin for a map. I enjoy working on things like this, and have found it's not too hard with photoshop.
~EDIT~ As requested, I included a serenity patch. I've not tried applying it myself, so let me know if anyone has problems with it.
~2nd EDIT~ I tried to make the bases look more like wood. However, this did not work as planned as the bitmaps for the main gray texture is too small and repeats too many times. It ended up making it look like flowers or somethign on it with all the wood textures I tried. If you have any suggestions, let me know.

Hey thanks, liquid, I'm glad you like it. Since you're 1 of only 4 people to download it, and the only person to comment on it, do you know of any ways I can improve? I'm already working on trying to make the forts look like they're wood to fit in with the theme (you can see some wood panels I have up already just for the heck of it, even though they don't quite flow), but I'd like to know if there's anything else I can do? I'm quite proud of this map and am therefore not as critical of myself as I should be.
I gave in and tried to take pictures with my digital camera, but I'm a guy that likes a good photograph, and my results were driving me nuts. Therefore, so as to not ruin peoples' perception of my map, I won't post them. Any capture Carders out there, real pictures would be appreciated, but it's up to you. I'm with a romantic grunt in the since that without pictures, I really have nothing.
Again, thanks for your feedback, and I look forward to any suggestions if you have any.

i just played the map, its beautiful. it looks like a professional job. all i suggest for the mod is new base and vehicle skins that dont take so much away from the beauty of the rest of the map. the only thing i saw that i didnt like was the mipmaps on your rocks are messed up so they turn black at a distance. Besides that, 5/5 thumbs up

Benjyp, Thanks for the suggestion. I also noticed the problem with the rocks, but don't know how to fix it just yet. This is my first skin job, so I have lots to learn. Any tips on how to fix it?
Also, suitable skins for the vehicles are in the works (provided I get them right) and I'll finish skinning the bases here shortly, so I'll let you know when I get all those done.
Thanks again

to fix it, when you open the file say "no" to the mipmaps question and when you finish check the "generate mipmaps" box.
