- Update:Don't camp outside of the enemy's base with a warthog or something.
- Don't use shees...
- Don't kill someone with a vehicle and say he got owned... because he didn't you just lamed up the game...
- If someone better then you kills you, don't say the map is "Modded" when you know it isn't
- Don't quit when you die
- parler anglais!(Speak English) Don't even attempt to say "0mfg 1 0wn3d u1 @22!!!1!!"... Ok? People who talk like that deserve a **** slap.
- If you have a sniper it's ok but, don't camp...
- Don't, don't, DON'T ever team kill! (betray ect.)
Vehicles
- update: If your in a shee battle, and stuck in one of those wormholes, break the chain, stop hit the ground, look up and fire.
- update: don't circle around an opponent with ur shee, he just gets to pump you with lead while to try to hit him
- Don't try to kill a vehicle with a gernade when it's coming straight at you, unless of course.. if you have a Plasma Gernade

- If your about to be mauled by a banshee whore... attempt to damage it, lol maybe you'll get lucky and he'll die _/^o^\_
- Don't drive a vehicle unless totally nessesary... all those do is flip at the wrong time

- Don't try to jump over a charging warthog... Just !@#$ing run for your life!
- If your buddy wants you to get in the back of a warthog... go ahead! Unless it's the rocket hog... Then you'll just die
- Usually when your buddy goes to get the flag he usually bails and lets you sit too close to the base right? Well screw him, get in the driver's seat, and book it in circles around the enemy base, when your pal gets the flag, pick him up and just floor it. (be carefull of hills!)
Weapons
- If your going to use the flamethrower, don't waste ammo! That thing is deadly with a few hits, but wastes ammo like a drunky at a bar.
- Remeber, there is always bullet lag, even in the pistol (omfg!), so if your shooting someone from a longer distance, don't shoot direct, shoot abit ahead of him (depending on where he's running to)
- Always use a chance for a headshot when you get one! (exept on allies, but i know you wouldn't
)
- Never shoot the ground with the rocket launcher when an enemy is attacking you close range in an attempt to take him with you, because it won't work, instead try to attack right beside him, but just far away so you won't suicide.
- Don't monger gernades, because it almost never works! (try to kill someone using 4 gernades per second without firing a single round)
Well thats all my tips, if you got some add 'em!
Woo!

You do have some good ideas, but I disagree completely with your stance on vehicles.
Why do people have a problem with using a vehicle that is included with the game and provides no unfair advantage? This is particularly for 'shees. Someone using vehicles is not a n00b, they are just trying a different strategy. If they are constantly using the same one, that's different. With the same predictable pattern over and over again, they will most likely lose the game. I do agree with you there, don't "camp" vehicles or stay still in the hog waiting for the flag-runner.
Although this is unrelated, I have noticed that people have the same unnecessary view towards heavy weapons that hinders this great game even further. I ask again, what is wrong with using an element that is included in the game? If you don't like the heavies, why don't you make a server without them? They provide no unfair advantage. The weapons are balanced very well, and it is easy to have a couple of people communicate and use strategy(key word) to take out the rocket or fuel rod user with basic weapons like the pistol or shotgun.
I am a heavy-weapons and driver specialist myself. I've been getting good enough at driving that I can feel the subtle handling differences between the rocket and normal Warthogs. The normal one, when with a driver only, simply slides rather than rolls. The rocket 'hog likes to traction roll, so I normally avoid it, although nothing beats hiding in the turret and 'sploding a flag runner when they think my base is undefended.
My basic code that I follow when playing Halo PC is to use everything at my disposal or to find a different way to use things that gives me an advantage when combined with a strategy. If you have ever been to Halo Pro, they have an excellent archive of examples of strategy combined with communication and some smooth play that will show you the effect that using tactics can have. The other teams are always crushed in the videos. While you're at Halo Pro, look at the Halo God video. It's great stuff.
The whole point of my post is this: use whatever's in the map; there's nothing wrong with that, or it wouldn't be in the game. Make some strategies or use specific patterns of movement with some variety thrown in to win, especially CTF. Communicate with your team members, especially on Live or if you have PC with teamspeak. And the number one thing to remember is to have fun regardless what someone else thinks about what you're doing.
One final question: If this is under Off Topic in the Other Games forum where it actually says "Discussion of games besides Halo", why is this in here?
*EDIT*: fixed typo.
