Installing new maps

I just have a real quick question. Is it possible to install maps to the harddrive like Mimesis does, and by that I mean without having Halo 2 on the hard drive? Any help is greatly appreciated. I have some map I'm pretty sure they won't be putting on Mimesis, but it would still be nice.

what makes the maps appear (terminal etc), is the the...Patch lvl_3 <--- i think its called that....

There isnt a Patch lvl_3 maker out, so its not possible, the only way is putting H2 on your HDD, and then editing the mainmenu.map in dothalo
