hi i got kicked off xbox-scene because of their strict no halo 2 hacking policy. well i am not a newb to xbox modding because i softmodded my xbox and also have mimesis which is a great program and have all the 9 new maps released by bungie and got them to work on my xbox. but i cant get ur guys mods to work. one is scotty-gees new york release i tried his instructions and they aren't detailed enough for a beginner and i tried it and didn't work. the other one was the accension mod which is called decension .map. i think my problem is that i am running od a dvd and not a hard drive and in scotty-gee's intsruction theer is no maps folder only the t data folder where the folder are like 10 digits long (those who didn't pay for the new halo 2 maps and downloaded them off the internet then installed them will no what i mean) but i think the problem is i can't run these mods of a dvd they must be in the hdd, but then again i installed the halo 2 maps update by bungie and mimesis runs the maps off my hard drive while using the halo 2 dvd, but i dont know if ppf's will work will trying to load the map off the hdd and playing on the halo 2 dvd. let me know because i can't save halo 2 on my hdd because it is stock and has no room for that game. i now how to ftp with my xbox and have no problems with that i have pff-omatic version 3. help !
I am randomly going to answer the many questions in your post.
To Fit Halo 2 on a Stock HD
-Transfer over All files except the Bink folder, and the Campaign maps.

To use a PPF
-Open Dothalo, hit Apply PPF, then select the PPF and the Map.
-If the map is not one of the 9 new ones, use the built in Fix Encryption tool.
-FTP
-If it IS one of the new 9 maps, use coolspot's Same Sig app to resign the map.

Decension.map (2 Approaches)
A.
-Rename it to Ascension.map
B.
Use Serenity or Dothalo to add the map into the main menu. (search the forums for a tutorial)

Notes:
PPF-O-Matic is quite useless when you have Dothalo. Sometimes.
Dothalo is a Halo 2 Modding Program. Search the Files forum if you dont have it.
