I was bored last night.. Yes, it works. And, no, you can't have it :p

Edit: Changed some fonts and such to make it more closely resemble the in-game menu. Replaced pics.

wait this allows you to do what select what map you want to play or mod erm can you tell us a little about it?

Right now it can create/edit/view patch_v3.lvl files for Halo 2 DLC. Not sure if I'm gonna do anything else with it.. Probably done with it.

So in other words...it allows you to use modded map files and put them in the DLC places like normally, but you don't have to delete the rest of the stuff in the folder/have someone else host the map then give you host? Awesome! Too bad we can't have it. *cries*

In the wrong hands, this would be used for cheating on XBL.. So, that's why its not getting released. That and most people wouldn't really know what to do with the newly created patch_v3.lvl's anyway, so it'd just confuse them. Also.. there's no real reason why people can't stick to editing the mainmenu.

I've made other stuff that I haven't posted anything about, hehe. This thread was supposed to be more about what it looks like, and not so much about what it does.. I only posted about it here in Pictures cause I thought it looked nice. If I wanted to focus on what it does, I'd've posted an exe in Halo 2 Downloads :p

If I make something that I feel will be a benefit to the "community", I won't hold it back.

Yes...yes it is...plus even if he was trying to fake it he wouldn't be doing a good job...he put Halo 2/TDATA/etc.etc. So it definitely wouldn't be right.

While I, along with many other people would agree with you...most of us would rather him not release it, as it'd allow for easier XBL modding...and more extreme XBL modding. But then again...wouldn't XBL notice the patch_3.lvl is different from everyone elses?

awsome, but would it really help cheating? becouse people just get banned if thier encyption map doesnt match the one in the xbe right..... so even if u did use this wouldnt u still get banned?
