Race Island

Post by hamarskald »

I enjoy playing Race games but find Death Island to be boring. I am going to try to move the checkpoints around so that the race path crosses over the middle a couple of times (and racers have to cross paths). I may never actually have time to learn how to do this, so if anyone wants to make such a mod, I'd love to see it.

I'd also like to add a speed boost for hogs but I seriously doubt I'll get to that.

dude, just use spark for placement of race icons and hmt for speed boost, easy stuff. not to flame or anything, ya know.

I have two small children and a full time job... even easy stuff sometimes takes too long. I opened it up in SparkEdit, though, and it seems like it won't be too hard.

If I move the checkpoints and then load the map on a server, will people who connect see the new checkpoints where I moved them to?

I did it! I tested it and it seems to work fine. Unfortunately, I don't have a server. I'll upload the file in the files forum. If someone wants to run it on a server and give me some feedback, I'd appreciate it.

I moved the checkpoints and boosted the speed on all vehicles a little bit. I can't seem to get more than one chain hog to spawn when I run it myself and I don't see how to change that...

I can't post to the files forum. I'll try again later...
