In halo 2 u dont fall off vehicles when they move. in halo 1 u just slide right off. i wonder if its possible to make it so u dont slide in halo ce. like make it so when ur in a longsword,you can walk around and look out the window while someones flying. Maybe if u added the properties of a ladder to it you wouldnt fall out,though it would look funny being able to climb around the ship :lol:

i think i heard some1 say that if you take out the vehecil physics that would be possible but wouldnt u drive or fly out of the map or not be able to drive at all while on grou :roll: nd

I believe that is hard-coded in halo and cannot be changed. I could be wrong though.

it might be possible,b/c if someone did that it would be a breakthrough in halo moding. You would need seats in a longsword (it would help though cause the occupents would share damage taken)because people would be able to just walk around the ship.

Couldnt you just have made the whole material on the inside a ladder? That way when you walk you stay on the sides.

thats good cause in halo 2 people on the other team could get in ur vehicle

You'd still slide off of the vehicle when it moves. A ladder material wouldn't make people stick to the vehicle; it would just make it so you can walk on it like a flood infection form.

Also, this is impossible... it is hard-coded into the engine, and cannot be changed no matter how many tags you edit. The only way to make a person not fall off of or get killed by a vehicle is seats.

Its part of the vehicle physics. And I wouldnt say its hardcoded really. It can be changed, But you MUST know what your doing. (or your screwed, untill your replace the tag(s), and no tutorial right now, I dont feal like writing one)

Yea I know what i am doing people, I have edited things that people say its "impossible" to edit. As long as humans exist, or any other intelegent life, we allways bypass the impossible one day. Nothing is impossible (Except the things that bypass some laws of biped life, like humans being able to fly like a bird, In that case you get Planes)

Halo's veyhickles work like this:

If a biped's collision geometry is touching a vehicle's collision geometry while the vehicle is moving at a certain speed, and the biped is not in a seat, it calculates damage and deals it. Yes, you can edit physics and damage and whatnot with Guerilla to take away the damage, but you cannot make seat-less players move with a vehicle, lest ye hax haloce.exe or one of it's resources.

And before anyone brings up a comparison of a vehicle to an elevator, an elevator or lift is a device machine. Completely different.
