how do i shoot an explosion

im trying to make a flame thrower and i wanna know how to change a projectiles model. I want the projectile to be like an explosion or a flame. how would i do this?

EDIT I would also Like to know how to make a nuke. if anyone knows the answer to any of the questions please post them. TIA

I'm not sure about the flamethrower. But the nuke, just change the rockets projectile to be larger, and increase the damage effect distance.

well, what i did once was make the rocket shoot real fast so right when you shot it just exploded where you shot it. It was like an instant explosin when you shoot it
