Basic modding question-what happened to the original post?

***had one in here, but its gone?? don't see why it would have been deleted seeing as to how this is a general halo 2 modding question..***

Lets say I want to make the BR single shot burst. I am using Insolence and Ch2r. I know it works if I open a specific map such as lockout, and then go to the br and change the burst and resign it and ftp it back to my box. But if I want it changed for the whole game so any map I play will have the single shot br do I have to go to each individual map and change it and resign them? I just tried changing it in the mainmenu.map, and the shared.map and just sending them over and clearing the cache but it did not work. It just seems kind of ineffiencient I guess to have to keep repeating changes in every map.

it was erased because it was spam you already have a topic in the new users form. Ask for that one to be moved

yea well it seemed as if more people looked in this forum than that one. So i posted it here too...Mods if you want to remove one, take it from that place.

You have to change it individualy for every map like you said earlyer. Making the change to the mainmenu.map and shared.map won't make any difference to 1 mp map or all mp maps.

damn, yea that helps ....is there anyway to like save the changes i made on one map and then paste it into the other map? This way if i change around like 15 - 20 things I don't have to write all the changes down and find them in every map and make the changes. It just seems verry redundant having to repeat 20 steps for all 20+maps.

so you are saying that if you decided u wanted to mod ur box and make the br single shot for all maps you would have to open them all individually and change the settings for the br in each map? And there is no quicker more efficient way of doing this other than opening up the br settings and changing them in all 21 maps?

I think there is...If im wrong correct me...But dont you just edit the Shared.map, in the Weapons Tag?

yea i tried that but it didn't seem to do anything...
