Inside a PPF

Ok, there is a PPF out there in the modding world that makes Turf have a scarab in the middle of the map and you can climb up to it. I want to put in stuff like that too. I am guessing this was made by model injection. Also, I would like to add vehicle spawns, spawn points for players, and basically add stuff to the map. I tried opening a Halo 2 map in spark edit and after a minute and error comes up and says "Out of memory". I am guessing this is common, but I am not sure. I thought going into spark edit and injecting models and moving objects in there would be easier, but its not even loading. Could someone point me in the right direction so I can mod almost anything on the map?

on xbox live.. someone put a scarab on turf... everyone was just trying to climb on it

Well first off i dont think spark edit is for halo 2 i thinks its halo 1 only.

Anyway to answer your question to add thing roperly to the map u need to use darkmatter then u have to recursive extract the meta u wantfrom the map u want then u just open the map u want to add the items to then goto tools then goto add to map.

now if ya just want to add thing to the map and dont cvare aboput system link compatibility then u can just use insolence to move the items into the map u want

hmmm you say is there a ppf out there....you do no that a 'ppf' is just a mod someone has made and saved it...as a 'ppf'!
And yes i have done it!
Its nothing special....i now prefer to mod on xbox connect and kia xlink so i can mod the old maps 2 annoy people lol..
xbox live is still fun though

The Scarab model is already in Turf. See the crashed Scarab? All it is is a normal scarab tilted on its side. Open up Turf, change the Sniper Ammo equip in the ITMC to the Scarab mach, then bingo its standing there in the middle of the map. Or change with a weapon, or shoot it from a pp or rl

Hey if anyone has the time to simply make the scarab appear in Turf, than make a ppf of it, I would really appreciate it!!I could learn from this and do it myself next time. Also, could someone explain a little bit more about this....how can I place a scarab in the middle of Containment, would the scarab need to be injected or could I do something a little easier than that.

Use Insolence to Transfer the Scarab Mach to turf. It should automatically transfer all the requiered things, Such as the bitm, model.etc

Note: Other people will not be able to see this mod, only the host.

Hmm... thats weird, this is all something I most misunderstand! So if I put it on and than went to scare everyone on xbox connect with a giant scarab the players would just walk right through it?? How could I see the one on xbox live? Must be over my head

ok I am in Insolence and I grabbed the scarab from turf and placed it in the mach folder of containment, now I am trying to get it from that mach folder into the rocket launcher ammo ITMC so it will appear. It wont transfer, than I read and it said to change the ITMC of the rocket launcher ammo to the scarab....well I dont see any options to change it!
