Ok I have a question for you guys. I can easily duplicate vehicles (and could before this tutorial), I can duplicate projectiles, but I can't seem to duplicate actual weapons. For instance when I try to duplicate the assault rifle. I make a new weapon, a new projectile, and I think I do that part right. The problem is when I try to make another item collecting so I can actually place the weapon in the game. I put it in place of say a flamethrower. Then after I rebuild I get an exception error.

Icetiger wrote:Great work Shadow. This tut was exactly what I was looking for! I was wondering about switching the references for models so you could import brand new ones ever since I read on forge's site about it. This tut takes it further and into more detail. This is a big breakthrough that I don't think most of the people here realize. I am going to take full advantage of this in my underwater gulch mod. You are the best Shadow!

And one more thing. How would I convert a model into the mod2 format to be used in rebuilding?
Dude, the mod2 is the meta, NOT THE RAW DATA. The XML points to the Meta which points to the raw data. The raw data is the verts and indies.

Okay, I'm having a bit of trouble with this. I'm trying to add in more rocks, but I can't seem to get it right. I've edited the XML of the scenery XML file, but that didn't work. Then, I tried other XML files, and none of those worked, either. Can I get any help?
I see...

Deadly_Shadow, did you ever make any progress on figuring out how to "make" a new location in the meta files? I'd still like to be able to add tons of rocks and all, and not have to replace stuff with it.

Hey guys I know that the people in this duplication forum are smart unlike alot of other halo wannabe modders. I just really need to know this from someone like mono or deadly shadow. (dont yell at me if this has been answered cause i didn't read all the previous posts) Im trying to make a more advanced of hogwars but for deathisland. It will include a wide variety of new weapons and vehicles while maintaining all of the old ones. I know how to create new guns and vehicles. My question is, how do i give them their own bitmaps and shaders? For example, 2 AR's that shoot different things and look different and are named diff things. And dont flame me becuase I KNOW that this is not a noob question. I have asked this question in 50 other posts and no one is able to answer me. Hopefully you guys can.
