noobish question about 3ds max

noobish question about 3ds max

umm i'm trying to make a map, but whenever i try to link things to the reference frame in 3ds max i can only link it to the current window in 3ds, not the frame
please dont' flame me I am really just a noob at all this

slect your object that you want to link.Slect the "sleect and link" tool.Now press "h" and choose frame.Its easier.But i don't really understand how you can link a frame to the current window :lol:

no when i open that window i cant find frame in the list, only the current thing i'm file (for me its level)

If you can't find it in the list it means that there is no frame or you have the frame selected. If an object is selected it won't show up on the linking list..

You did make a reference frame right?
Well if you didn't: You create a box outside of your level and name it frame! :D There's your frame!
