Blood Gulch to Coagulation

Post by scar tissue »

Has anyone tried to change Blood Gulch completely into Coagulation? I was just messing around with the map in GMax and I noticed how (of complete randomness) the bases started to look more and more like the Halo 2 Coagulation versions of themselves. Then I looked around but cannot seem to find a Coagulation mod.

If anyone has already done this, send me a link or something please. Thanks you.

EDIT: This is what I've got so far

If thats sarcasm....I know they're bad (some geometry needs correction).

And if it is not sarcasm....I guess I don't know how to prove it, all I can give is my word. If it means anything, I am really good at modeling (I am actually taking a 3d Modeling class at school, we use Inventor10 which is the up up up version of 3ds Max but at home I just use Gmax).

EDIT:
And I also need some help. I don't know how to do gravity lifts (i've seen on a CE map), or the Halo2 teleporters plus I'm too lazy to go onto my xbox and see what the basement of the base looks like so if someone has any pictures...tha'd be great! :)

EDIT: (Again)
Screw the last edit. I actually need the Halo2 Bitmaps for the grass and stuff. I want this to look as close as possible to Coagulation.

I exported the OBJ file from SparkEdit and opened that in Milkshape where I exported that as a 3DS file which i imported into 3ds Max then I reconfigured some stuff to make it look a little more like Coag.

Its a nice effort and is looking nice so far, but I have to say that it is not almost perfect.

This is his model.
In the following picture I have circled an area that isn't in any other Coag map. The little platform should be attached to the side of the base:

Just proving it's his ;-)

And if you also notice, the bottom of the same ramp is supposed to have a defined shape. I haven't gotten around to editing it yet.

I am not trying to hijack the topic at all, but feel free to use these renders as a reference. I made this a while back and never finished em, so not everything is 100% accurate.

Kicks ass on my base! Lol, but I think since this has already been done I'm gonna try something else. I keep starting projects but never finish them because they've already been done or I just lost interest.
