i need help

ok wut im tryin to do is make the fire froem the flame thrower blue. . .
i have all the stuff for adobe photoshop elements, and ive done skins before. . but this time when i try to inject it into HMTv3 it says it needs to be in DXT3 format or DXT2 format, well i have saved it as a DXT3 and that still dont work, but i cant save it as a DXT2 because when i save its not there to select . . . can someomne help me please

Save it as a DXT 1 with Alpha format... if not, try the 32 bit one.... Possibly even DXT5

Okay, save it as you regularly would, then open up the image in a Hex editor, and you will see DXT#, where # = 1 one thru five. Change whatever is there to 3. If it is already three, keep trying different numbers through five.

Or you could just check in HMT 3 above the Save texture button what type it is. HMT error messages often lie. Lies! LEIZ!
