[TUT]New model injecting tutorial

Tutorials for the Xbox version of Halo 2.

nice the only problem is....u cnat export wit milkshape trial ehhh i mite try that 3ds thing...but u can extract it with adi and get it in 3dsmax
or so iv heard idk any one know ?

Im using the trial version of Milkshape and I can export it.

Ok what check boxes need to be checked? I tried and it crashed again and i dont feel like openning 3ds max a billion times to figure it out. lol sorry about being so lazy but i figure since you already know it would be eaiser just to ask. lol

No, they wont.

A) Import them to Milkshape and export them as a new file, then import that file into 3ds

OORR you could serch google for 3dsmax7 .obj importer, it doesnt export .obj right for some reason, but you can import them

this tut is great. but when i try to add to map for the 1st person view, i get "illegal characters" by .net frmaework. i cant get past that part

anyone know?

I HAVE gotten models to import into 3ds max...however, it will only work if you export the model using ADI, and NOT dark matter...

YES!!! i just had that problem, dont rename models with a "_" anywere, i dono why but dark matter doesnt like it

neither the meta or the modelis i inject have the quotations

Heres how I do it:

Make in 3ds
Export as a .3ds file
Import that .3ds into Milkshape
Export from Milkshape as a .obj
Inject with Dark Matter
Well i already tried that it still gives me the imput string was not in the correct format error that i get when i export it straight from 3ds max. Also you can extract models from adi and import them into 3ds max but i dont think you can inject those models into dark matter.

alright..you guys know I am lazy, could someone give me a link to a download for a working dark matter...mine seems to be not working...giving errors when I follow tut exactly, using halo1 models (AR)...

k guys I am having a slight problem here. I followed the tut word for word and tried to extend the magnums barrel longer. I got that done, saved , injected with dark matter and swapped the mode tag in the hmlt. Just like the this tut says to do.

I go to load the game and it freezes on load. Any Suggestions??

lol,,, yeah i did sign the map,,, it kept freezing on me not failing to load the map.

But in any case I got if figured out. I think it was the way I was saving the new model.

hmm thats very odd it shouldnt freez, did you do anything else to the map? thats how i do my model injets everytime so... try again
