FTPspeed tip. Avalaunch boost mode.

Post by Juniorman030790 »

Ok well i just discovered this the other day.

If you have avalaunch get it and go into ftp options and enable boostmode ftp.

If you don't have avalaunch get it.

I use smart ftp to transfer my maps since it by default has unlimited ftp speeds.

I transferred all of my halo2 MP maps in 4 minutes.

So if you want to speed up your map or anything transfer speeds try avalaunch boost mode ftp it works wonders on map ftp speeds.

My ftp speeds went from 4mb a second to 10mb a second.

Well if anyone didn't know about this you should really check it out. :D

also unleashx has boost mode capibilites. but only through qwix, i think. i havent seen any major changes in speed when i ftp regular, but with qwix yeah.

oh and qwix is an app that takes advantage of boostmode and uploads your iso's without extracting them to your pc first.

FlashFXP is incredibly fast (15mb per second for me) when used with evox, and a router. Although, ive never tried any other dashboards so...

I don't know how you get 15mbps since the xbox's ethernet port has a max speed of 10 megs. I think Flash FXP probably cache's the files if you use them a lot. Try transferring a large map like single player shared or something that you wouldn't normally transfer that is large and see what the speeds are.

The numbers are unrealistcly high probably because my hard drive is busy, and it cant estimate what the numbers are. But i assure you, its maxed oud. My whole xbox backed up in 5 min. All directorys, all Cache, Everything!
