sanctuary base model redone

Post by {KaS} Korori »

Hey I Final rebuilt my base model again this time I used the STL check. No errors at all. If some one can skin it and send it to me I would be thankful if so. If you use this model please credit me in your map.

No. It has...umm I think 4 or 5 objects that make it up..well technically yes it is one model..but made up of different objects.

This model is really cool! One question that i've been wondering for a really long time... how do you skin models?

You do it in your modeling program. You assign you faces within your model a certain ID number. Then you have what is essentially a texture pallet that you import texture files into and then you assign the faces of you model to the ID number that has the texture you want. Then you UVW map it with alligns the texture and from there you can tile it or what ever. That was way to glossing over things but...Kirk's mapping tutorial is a great one to start with...it teach's you everything you need to know for getting models/maps ready for the halo game engine.
