Newbie Question

Hi guys im new!

uMmM i just downloaded a mod for Halo PC but i have no idea what to do with it.

i need to no were to : Save it
: Wether to extract it or not
: and just wtf to do with it

is it in a .rar file? if so, extract it somewhere on your desktop or somewhere easily accessible. Is the mod a .ppf? if so http://www.halomods.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=22165

if the mod is already a .map, just place it in your MAPS folder in your halo directory, and overwrite the old one. make a backup of your maps first tho

yes it is a rar. and its the first mod on the fallowing page

so i just extract it to a desktop icon and do what with it when i get to the map?

Once you extract the .map file, put it in c:/program files/Microsoft Games/Halo/Maps
Now you should be able to play it.

wow im still extremely lost here

ok i extracted it to the halo maps file but it extracted as a .zip *Question number #1*

then if i get that figured out what do i do from there? just got to halo and gephyrophobia? and the mod will majically work? lol i no im wasteing your time guys and im sorry...but im rlly a newbie at this

wait wait wait huh? ok

1. Extract the map so that it is just a .map and not compressed.
2. Go to C:/Program Files/Microsoft Games/Halo/Maps and put the modded map into that folder, replacing the original map.
3. Start up halo and play the map.

(Make Backups of all the original maps.)

when u copy and paste it (likethevilmoderatorjustsaid) it should say something like

Replace this with this? click ok and ur all set
