Internet

Post by Guest »

Ok. Me and my friend like to play games online like Halo and starcraft....we both use the same internet service (its a local one called Delta Cable). I used to have telus and i could join his games fine. But now since i have the same service as him, we cant join eachothers servers. If you have a suggestion please tell me because we REALLY WANT TO PLAY ONLINE!

One of you might be behind a firewall? Are you using a router? If so disable the firewall. Also disable other firewalls and try that.

I had a friend with the same problem a while ago, i think he did something with his ports, or some networking type thing. I also believe that someone on these forums had the same problem.

Do you think you could ask your friend what he did?

I remember a tutorials about ports here on the forums, explaining how to get it to work if people couldnt see your server.

I've had a similar problem except I've opened up every port I needed, disabled all my firewalls, contacted my ISP, and even enabled DMZ. Nothing worked. I think my ISP is just a pile of gay shit.

Its also weird because if we join some body elses server it lags like a bitch. And when one of us quits its fine. Oh and it accually works on Halo now. Now we are trying to figure out Starcraft. Can anyone tell me how to set to DMZ or open ports cuz im stumped.
