ok, i'm trying to get back into CE map-making, so i download all the HEK mapmaking vids. in the 3rd (i think) it has me UVW map, well, i can UVW map fine, but when i try and go back to edit the geometry, it totally undoes all of my precious UVW mapping. when i go back into the UVW unwrap modifier (using Ctrl+Z) it fixes it, but i don't see how i can get my level's geometry to be anything more than flat with a wall around it if this problem continues, can anyone help?
btw: i keep goeing through the vid, doing everything it tells me to

Don't worry about that. If you click the little "pin" button under the list of modifiers you have on your object, it should keep it when you go to edit it. (I could be wrong, I'm a bit rusty). But don't worry, as long as it shows up in the unwrap uvw modifier its all good. There is a way to avoid this, and that's to uvw map your mesh AFTER your done modeling it. Next time, do that instead. UVW Mapping too early can be a pain, since your not even done with the model.
