Working on a cool mod, but I need some help!!!

Okay, I have searched everywhere on these forums (and others) and I haven't found my answer.

What I want to know is how to edit the HUD interface for weapons etc. and how to change there names when you go to pick them up (as in "press * to pick up assault rifle" to "press * to pick up precision rifle").

I don't want to know how to swap them about or how to delete them entirely. Just edit them. And I'm guessing I need photoshop right?

for changing the names you would open up a hex editer then search for uni coded text string ( in the map you want to mod of course) then type what you looking for i.e. type warthog and it will come up like this W.a.r.t.h.o.g. dont touch the periods or try to make the string longer it wont work.to make the text string longer you would have to rebuild the map.Iron_Forge did it in hog wars so ask him.

thanks, ill try to contact them. But what do you mean search for a unicode string list?

when you use he search or find tool it will ask you what you are looking for in a drop down list hex value,bitmask etc. you select uni coded text string

just a random question:
to make the weapon HUD disappear would i swap the weapon for ui/hud/empty?

I would swap for the Gravity rifle it has no hud

uh... its pretty easy to make the string longer....
if ur using hex workshop on the left side ders a bunch of numbers and
letters... and if you look closely the periods (.) are 00
