how do i compress videos
i use fraps, whenever i make a simple like 30 sec video it takes up like 50mb

do i use a program to compress it?

If you mean regular compression like .zip then i just use winrar, you can make it smaller by recording at half-size though, or by not recording sound(which can help A lot).

and how do i make it zip

THIS IS MY FIRST TIME WORKING WITH MOVIES
i havnt researched this in halomods just in google
so please bear with me

Clearly you havent done much with files at all. To zip it get WinRAR. Right click the file, do add to archive.

To import it into Windows Movie Maker, go to File > Import into collections. The you go to File > Save and pick your settings.

Maybe its just me, but its pretty clear what the file menu is there for.

i use winrar to open maps i get off this site

ive never used it to export a movie into windows movie maker

i went to the vid
right clicked it and went to add to archive
clicked ok

EDIT:it made it a winrar file
but its exactly the same size
