help patchin mainmenu.map
i want to add the new maps and everything that i get from halomods but i want a ppf file that will patch my mainmenu so it will let me add all the maps i want and keeping the names i choose, i got a ppf patch that lets me to add 10 more maps but it looks ugly since it changes the halo 2 logo to a green ugly one, thanks in advance
OK. you say you want to add new maps to main menu. when you finish modding a map save the .map under a different name but of equal amounts of slots(letters/numbers) EX: coagulation.map -> c04gulation.map . Open the map editor DotHalo and and click on the [scnr]scenario. copy or write down the file path given.
Next, open up mainmenu.map in dotHalo. Scroll down and open up the [matg]Global tag. The tag editor should appear. If not, find it and open it. Next, you want to go into the Multiplayer Maps scroll down menu. the numbers should normally go from 0 -> 49. plenty of maps to go around
12 is normally the first empty on, so click on it. If not keep looking till you find one. Now the only thing you should see is a -1. Change that value to 450. It is important that you pick a number below 1000 but a number that hasnt been taken by other maps.
The next few things should be self explanatory. Fill them in as you see fit. The last option is the "Next Value" icon. Put the next value the same as the first one. Thats it! Your done.

ok when you are making the name for the menu it can be pretty much as long as you want. but the file name which you obviously got from lockout, has to be the same
i suggest putting the filename as l0ckout.map for easy remembering. but like i said when you are editing the mainmenu.map the map name and description can be w/e your heart desires:D
