Duplicate?
What is "duplicating" plz explain me...
is it a normal duplication or is it a new word in halo world (lol)

Its a process of creating a second version of an item in a modded map.
e.g.
I created 2 versions of the ghost in my last mod, so that I could remodel
one into a ghostwing fighter without changing the original.
(THIS IS NOT A TUTORIAL!)
You add an additional stage prior to your rebuild with HMT.
You duplicate and rename the items folder and use word to rename the
dependencies file locations inside the associated XML files.
Add the additional folder and files to your rebuild.
Job done.

Actually its pretty straight forward. I dont know what links tutorial youBravonight wrote:So its not easy... and is there a good tutorial for it? (your link tutorial doesnt works [a friend gave me a link to your tutorial {.someone.}])
mean, unless you're talking about my PMI tut.
I didn't cover duplication in there.
There is a duplication tutorial by Deimos over in files.

Ignore the other links you see....
scroll down the page under the pic there's a DL box marked duplication
tutorial. The download button is on the right hand end of the box (you
might need to scroll right, depending on your monitors resolution)

Its time consuming, and is done as part of rebuilding a map with HMT.

Actually the current Tutorial on duplication has been deleted. So can you go ahead and post it in the Tuts section?
this will save you getting PM's from others wanting to know.

If you go through all the associated files when you duplicate an item
instead of just picking the attributes you want to change, it
allows you more freedom to change the model, its skin, weapons, physics
etc. If you check my Ghostwing mod the Ghostwing is a full duplication of
the normal ghost, listed under the HMT vehicle tag as ghost2. It allowed
for a new model and colour scheme without affecting the original.
