How to do a sword similiar to the lightsaber (with lasers and stuff) and where can i edit the attacks!

First of all take the plasma rifle as a sword weapons cause it moves similar.To change the sword animation you have to overwrite the old plasma melee animation(i didn't figred that out yet)

i dont know... explain me how to edit the melee attack of the plasma pistol?!

what do i edit there? the demage and the look of the plasma pistol?
and after i do that how do i change buttons between left and right and how do i disable one key?
