You know my input. I love asus. Though the memory is about half of the other... Go with your gut... Its like Nike or airwalk. Both do the job, one lasts longer, one preforms better.

I have an MSI GeForce 6600GT. My dad has an XFX GeForce 6800. Both rock considerably. With some 6800s, you cna unlock the extra pipelines and shaders to make it a 6800 Ultra. I say SOME for a reason. Not all brands like it.

Halo looks great on my 6600GT. I run it at 1280x1024. On my dads I can run it at 1600x1200. I overclocked both for better performance. These are some of th ebest AGP and PCIe cards on the market. They are about the same price and cost a good amount of money. If your settling for ATI, beware they overheat and sometimes burn out. If your getting an ATI, get a Zalman cooler. The amount of memory a VGA card has means nothing if there is no fillrate to compensate for it. 6600 is to damn slow. Get a 6600GT or 6800.

The GT is a faster 6600. If your settling for a normal 6600, your getting less speeds. GeForce 6600GT has a 500mhz core clock and 900mhz memory bandwith. 6600 has a 300 something core clock and 550mhz memory bandwith.

I have to go with the Chaintech if you want great framerates, alongside good graphics. Go Asus if you don't care about the FPS. :P

BUT, I would go with the last one you posted ONLY IF you have a PCI Express slot. Make SURE that you have one.

Yeah, you might have an agp slot. Chaintech is the right one, but use your instincts

Do you know they overheat? Do you know people lose those cards to the heat? If it overheats, you get screen corruption, system freezes, locks up. If your going to get ATI, get an aftermarket cooler like a Zalman. Be prepared for buggy drivers and a crapload of trouble. Some people get lucky and dont have any problems, but most have all kinds of trouble.

My GeForce 6600GT kicks butt. My dad's GeForce 6800 kicks even more butt. They are alot better then your ATI card.

Not trying to flame here...but the 5200 is crap. All 5 series cards were crap.

Get 6 series. The 4 series was better than the 5 series.

And a 7800 GTX inst worth it. Big deal if you get 300 FPS. God my dad has a pretty good system and all games play with high settings. He doesnt have SLI. The only reason youd want a 7800 GTX is because you like tech demos.
