you know, you can just burn them all to a CD. My computer right now has only about 300 mb of space to use, and i have no room for maps. So you burn them on a cd, then when you want a map, you just pop in the cd, use winrar (or whatever else) to open the files, extract to specified folder, and on. And, it doesnt eat space on your computer.
Holy Crap i was wrong. Im burning files to a CD, and the first one is 935 mb, no cd can fit that thats out right now, the 2nd is 600something, and I have 6 hrs 17 min. to go. and this is on my parents computer. Geez. Its onna take awhile to download all these.

And for those who don't want all those maps you can always go to http://haloce.gearboxgamezone.com or www.halomaps.org and download the ones you want.
No pop-up adds no registration.

I though so! But they are valid alternatives to spending hours downloading a couple of gigs of maps in a map pack or giving out personal information and registering somewhere or waiting for a download to start with a KB limit per hour. Since from a business perspective the website is a huge money pit I gain nothing by having people visit except that it promotes Halo CE. From an advertising and cost perspective I would do better to shut the sites down and tell the little kiddies no more free lunch.Vinx wrote:nice advertising in 3 different topics UXB
But I'm a nice old guy who wants to contribute to the community so I spend my money, get cursed at for only allowing one download at a time, or yelled at when I haven't added someone's map 20 seconds after it was released and I chalk it up the fact that one day they will learn that: Half of what I say is meaningless but I say it so that the other half may reach you.

i just want to address the person who said that the load time would take forever, there is a program out there, and i cant think of the name of it (sry) that all you do is start it up, and select which maps you want to be usable, then start the game, that way all of the other maps are disabled, thus, no long loading. the place you use for uploads is kinda slow, but i Love the pack, much better than just dowloading one at a time then putting them into the file. also, idk if there in here or not, but there are H2 maps out. go here for them:

again, good work
