Can someone tell me how to start modeling? ^_^ (vehicles)

kinda new, and i just need some advice, like what programs i need, any plug in's and just a simple tutorial on how to create a vehicle and put it in halo CE or PC

p.s sorry if someone else has sent something like this, but myne seems much clearer on what i need to do , if u get what i mean :S

for pc its the same as weapon moddeling... just drag vertices around
