need help with rebuilding

look hi everyone. i know im a n00b that probably shouldnt be fucking around with modding halo but i jsut figured out how to rebuild maps and shit and i was wondering when u rebuild a map how are u supposed to rebuild it again if its already modded. for instance if i wanted to put a beam emitter on a gun in BG but i had already put the sentinel laser on a gun how am i supposed to put the beam emmiter in if its already modded. or does rebuilding the map NOT count as modding?? sorry i was jsut wondering and i know im a n00b and i know some other n00b has probably asked this so if anyone would help i would appreciate it. thnx

also say if i had a modded BG that just had projectiles changed is there anyway i can merge it with a re-built one?? thnx

you cant batch extract a map thats already been rebuilt. so the only thing you can do is do it again but include both.
