This is my first public map project...
I'm currently working on a Trigun themed map. For those of you who don't know, Trigun is an excellent TV series. Anyhoo, this map is going to be a simple (Yet large) desert city surrounding a power plant and defence station. It will have many weapons (And a lot of secret area) and is specifically designed for Team and Single Slayer. I suppose I might add more CTF elements to it.
Weapons (Most of them won't make any sense if you haven't seen the show):
.45 Colt Revolver
This is your basic six-shooter, with decent accuracy, average stopping power. This is your starting weapon.
.45 Colt Revolver (Different from the first)
The first .45 Colt had a silver barrel, this one has a black one. It has less accuracy then the other one, but is 2-3 time powerful (If you can compensate for the spread, head shots are equivalent of Halo 1 Pistol.)
The Mercy (Assault Rifle/Rocket Launcher)
Left Click fires a weak, inaccurate Assault Rifle (But has an ammo capacity of 300, plus over use can overheat it.) Right click fires a rocket that has a small radius when it explodes. It does the same amount of damage as a regular rocket, but moves faster and has to be reloaded every time.
The Punisher (Equivalent of Dual Wielding SMGs)
Like I said, just like two SMGs, but more accurate, more ammo, less damage, and higher rate-of-fire (Massive recoil, too)
Stun Cancer (Stupid name, awesome stunning weapon)
More of a defensive weapon than an offensive weapon. Especially useful in CTF matches. Fires projectiles that, although unable to damage the target, sends them flying. If used correctly, it is possible to get a kill.
Derringers (Deceptively powerful)
You dual-wield these, but you can't actually fire these separately. They are single shot weapons. The reload time is fast and they do massive damage on Vehicles (Don't ask why, I just didn't want to make average weapons, and then put some crappy, weak weapon there. I wanted to put something worth using)
Heatwave (Sorta like a Sniper Rifle)
It's a pistol, but it's deadly accurate. It does about 1/2 the damage of a Sniper Rifle, has the same Rate-Of-fire and has 12 Ammo capacity. The reload time stinks, though. Has x2 and x8 scope.
Longshot (Stationary Sniper Rifle)
Like a turret, but deadly accurate. It has infinite ammunition, but has many flaws. There are a lot of obstructions in the map, it cannot be moved, and it is extremely vulnerable. It also has a crappy Rate-Of-Fire.
Grader 2043 (Like the Magnums from Halo 2)
This is exactly like the Magnum from Halo 2, but there's going to be something different about, and I'm not talking about the model. (I'm not saying, you'll see, soon enough)
There are THREE hidden weapons, but I've made them difficult to find.
I am currently typing this at my school, so I cannot post any images yet. As soon as I get home, I'll probably post more features, and post pictures. I'm also taking any suggestions (Preferably if you have seen the show)
[W.I.P.] January City (Trigun)
...
Now that I am home, I can finally post pictures...I am currently typing this at my school, so I cannot post any images yet. As soon as I get home, I'll probably post more features, and post pictures. I'm also taking any suggestions (Preferably if you have seen the show)
Here's Vash's .45 Colt

Here's Knive's .45 Colt

Here's Milly's Stun Cancer

Here's The Mercy (Not Done...)

Here's Dominique's Heatwave

I know the models suck, but hey, this is my first time, so give me a chance...

I am currently working on the actual level right now...Hopefully the model itself will be complete by the end of the weekend...

Thanks!
Thanks for all the tips guys.
Why did I use tubes for the ends of the guns?
That's a good question, I'm not even sure why I did...
I'll post actual pics of the map either tommorow night, or the next day.
EDIT: Okay, now I know I'm an idiot. I've converted the objects into an editable mesh, but...um...well, how do I turn it back so I can change the number of sides?
