Hello everyone.
I'm new to this community and i have one seriously n00by and probably really obvious question:
Is it possible to make custom halo: custom edition maps WITHOUT using 3dsmax?
If yes, what pogram(s) should i use?
I think it's understandable that halo is just a hobby of mine, and therefore i can't exactly afford to be buying sofware that costs

get gmax and the chimp plugin. do a search on google for gmax, i don't remember the site right now.

I think that would depend on what you want to do. I used wings 3d to make my map, and i have heard that lightrays or something is good. check out the file forumns utilities for some other programs that are free.
