Ok well i been working on this little map for the past few weeks and it turned out to explode into a huge project. This map is going to be build to suit all kinds of different gameplay aspects of halo.

Theres has always been controversy between those who prefer smaller maps with close ranged heavy carnaged combat, and also those who prefer huge maps with lots of vehicles, snipping positions and roaming free around a large enviroment, i am hoping for this map to accomadate for all kinds of players, i have made this map so far with 2 parts, a main center interior structure and a exterior larger open vehicle paths that can hold tanks, hogs, ghosts, and my new cov. vehicle the "Giest". also this whole map is raised 1000s of feet off the ground and equiped with with flying vehicles for arial combat. The way this map ballences out is that frag hungry poeple inside the main stucture can duke it out within this small arena mostly safe from the sniper and vehicle based combat outside, spawn points are placed at each base which is equally distant from either areas, its simply a chiose of the player.
This is to break up all the argueing that goes on between players on servers that complain about the map being to big or too small, its basically 2 maps in 1 u can play where you want.

Also another large portion of my map is new content.
All of the old weapons have all been modified to react more realistically, they shoot more efficiently and more accurate for a much more intense combat experience. And also a chiose of new weapons and halo 2 weapons will be added too.

I modified MC to work more like halo 2, he can jump down from large distances without recieving damage, higher jumping. I havent relaid out the hud yet to match halo 2 but i plan to when i figure it out completely.
Im going to soon remake MC with new his new armor from halo 2.
Im also planning to make the Elite a playable character in this map.

New weapons will be:

DR-6 Magnum - NOT THE HALO 2 Magnum!, no this is more like the 357magnum from half-life 2 only with a new slick apperence. It has a very slow fire rate but each precise bullet is near fatal shot.

CR-120 - the fully automatic Combat Rifle (deady combination of the BR and AR) is probably the most devastating weapons on the map, its huge 120 round magazine with an extremely rapid fire rate deals heavy damage to even those of a far distance with an equiped stablizer that allows it to keep the weapon steady while firing. the only downpoint to this weapon is that its very heavy and u cannot run very fast with it so your pray might escape easily if not trapped in a corner. u can also zoom in with this too. the fire rate accellerates as u shoot so you must keep your target with in range while firing to inflick maximum damage.

Fuel Rod Launcher - A moddifed fuel rod gun that is probably the funnest weapon in the map, this weapon shoots a terrorizing bouncing projectile that will only explode on direct contact with another player, as soon as u shoot it, the projectile reflects off of all surfaces continiosly while being affected by gravity like the original. It keeps on bouncing until it either leaves the map, hits a player or looses too much momentom and explodes. The weapon although fun requires emmence ammonts of skill to harness its true power. Dont just go shooting out in all directions cuz the projectile can reflect back and hit you if your are careless.

Energy Sword\Shield - Yes now that other hand just floating there looking like its feeling imaginary breasts will finaly be put to use, the energy sword will be equiped with an energy shields that can reflect bullets at the shooter by using the secondary fire button to activate it, kinda like the shields the jackals use. also the sword will be able to reflect any heavy duty slow projectile such as the rocket or fuel rod launcher with a well timed melee attack, this would make for a fun game of tennis for those seeking stunts or just messing around. As for the lunge attack... well im still not able to get this working just right so to make up for this i did the next best thing, the man with the sword will have have some extra speed.

Grenade Laucher - this is another fun weapon that u can use for your frag grenades in your inventory, it allows you to shoot your nades to a far distance and modifies them to explode on contact with the ground. it bounces off walls and cielings pretty well so it allows u to flush out those hiding or camping around corners.



Modified Original Weapons:

In order to keep the game ballence with all these new weapons i had to modify the old ones to suit to keep fun competetive match.

Pistol - modifed to work just like the magnum from halo 2, stronger bullets but no zooming while shooting, fun for accurately skilled players. but the stronger bullets cuase the screen to "ride up" while firing rapidly.

Assualt Rifle - Shoots a bit more accurate and faster fire rate, but the damage is equivlent to the SMG from halo 2.

Plasma Pistol - Much more usefull now with a stronger punching melee attack that makes a fun boxing match. Also, the overcharge projectile can home in much faster and depletes all shields while the bolt deals more damage to health.

Needler - Stronger explosion combo, and now those needles can travel faster than bees, u will no longer be able to out run them so easily but theres still techneques that can b used to evade them easierly.

Plasma Rifle - Much more accurate, faster fire rate, but overheats much faster as well.

Shot Gun - Fatal with a close up shot to the head

Sniper - Zooms in up to 12x now and is slightly more powerfull, but only head shots cuase instant death.


Well thats it for now theres still lots to be added such as more weapons from halo 2, such as the cov. carbine, cov. sniper, and many different dual wield combinations such as the SMG/Plasma Rifle, Dual Magnums, Dual SMG, and Magnum/Plasma Pistol. also there will be some hidden weapons and vehicles that im not telling anyone about and u have to find them out your self if your want to discover them and what they do, trust me u wont be disappointed with these easter eggs in this map

Im currently working on this project allone with a little help tut. from some friends and forums, but im looking to recruit people for working on this map, i will need a large team of beta testers and some good taggers, i can handle most of the modeling and animation myself but i could use some help from anyone who is willing. I did release a few screen alpha shots a while back of this map in its very early stages on haloimpulse but it has far evolved from that. i will post some new updated screen shots and video footage as soon as i get them all organized.

I think the idea of making sniper rifle even stronger will definetly destroy the fun of the whole map.

H2 New Mombasa for example has an over powered Sniper, which at 1st was going well untill the poeple began taking the advantage of 1 shot kill with the sniper.

All of the other ideas that you put in it I think are bearable, except the sniper.

Determining the strenght of your sniper would change the outcome of the game.

i know there was an issue with the super powered sniper in the h2ce maps but i have calculated how many shots it takes to kill someone in halo 2, head shots, shield damage, and health damage etc and modified it to suit, i fould out it was more powerful than the origninal snipper, dont worry it wont b instant kill with shields on like on the h2ce team's maps, also i had to increase its power to it balence out with the other weapons in the map, this weapon will also slow down the movements of the player a bit while wielding it so dont worry about it destroying the gameplay aspect of this map, that is what is mainly focused on in this map. Im going to rely on the beta tester's to determine weapon modifications too. another thing is the shield also regenerats faster like in halo 2 so theres another aspect that goes into making the weapons more powerful.
