Map: Lab (beta)
Map: Lab (beta)
a few weeks of work and its done. it probably my best map, but that doesnt mean its any good.
basically, the idea for this map was to have some sort of secret laboratory underground, in a sewage system looking place. i kind of pulled it off, but im not so sure. things that i would like to have in the final version is maybe some custom weapons, a more complex map layout, and prolly a secret room.
but enough of that... heres some pics!

DEFINITLY ADD THE BSOD! That would be classic.Stormwing wrote:I really like where this one is going. Can't wait until it's finished!
You should fix the acid/sewage/watery stuff though. The rest of the map looks fine! (you could throw in a BSOD screen just for kicks )
I need a texture for the Halo Battle Rifle...anyone wanna help? >.>

surely. start with a fog plane, and for the shader, used "water" (w/o the ""s)
then, made a fog tag to be used as the green stuff. i think the key to making it look like it does is setting the opaque depth to 0.001. this makes it not fade to green around the edges where u can see how transparent it is. what u end up with is something that doesnt look like fog anymore. then i set density to around 0.75 and opaque depth to about 0.65, and i had it

lol thats kinda the point. ur in this facility underground and ur like um wth happened? and plus, its a lab in a sewer. whats up with that?MassacrMan wrote:I wanna know what happened here. I mean the system is malfuctioning and sparking. Looks like it was attacked by someone or something. Cause the sewer looks as if it was blasted or bashed open.
and for the BSOD, i actually had that at first, but i didnt like having a giant bright blue thing in each base. it kinda hurts ur eyes. plus, the screen would logically give off blue light, making each base blue colored. so the only way i could do a BSOB is if it were on something smaller.
