I still suggest a new topic to be made by Yoyorast. Have pictures of the progres this map has made. up until now and what point its at.

i'm debating whether or not to gather all the pics and make a minislideshow movie thing of how it came to be.

Pie ^ Thats already been done but we can't talk bout it...

Also, this would normally be deleted, because The guy continued to spam after he was warned about it. You guys don't relised how long it ages to delete spam. Took me + Yomama (Mostly Yomama 1 hour to get 4 pages to 1 in the tutorial submissons, this would take longer as once you delete one post, its takes you back to the very start of this thread.

Anyways, I think we should see whats happening with the skinning, just so we know if lightining has started it or if were waiting for him to start.

Hey guys! First of all I would like to ask the people around here to speak ONLY about the Yoyorast Island project. Please, let's be constructive... and no need to answer to this with some post like: "yeah well said" or "it's the Guy fault"... "no it's not me".... etc
The moderators and admin here have been very kind with allowing to this thread to live until now... thanks to them. Let's not abuse please.

Ok now, here is a little update:
Unfortunatly, since I gave the final touch on the model, nothing big really did happen :cry: ... the thing is that the model needed to be fixed/prepared to be completely ready for the ingame and skinning process... Now the fact is that SSDC was a bit ill lastly and still is :? so he couldn't make big progress... But he plans to have it ready in 6 days...

The second thing is that SSDC doesn't seem to be able to give the necessary time and effort to work on the project as it would be necessary to move forward fastly and efficiently... No flame on him here, let's not forget he's the man who first put the thing ingame and much much more after that... Thanks to you man :wink: He is not quitting here but the main work on the ingame process will be done by a new guy joing the project...

So, at this time Lightning hasn't started the skinning. But will do when SSDC will have finnished his work on the model. In parallel of this skinning phase, Master and SSDC will work on the ultimate unskinned beta... but this beta must have all the elements of the final version integrated (gravity lifts, falgs, vehicules, weapons, etc...) in order to really and deeply test the playability of the map.
Then all this will be reintegrated with some necessary corections in the skinned final version... We will also wait for this skinned version to make some optimisation (portalation)... same for the boat, it will wait the skinned version to be or not to be integrated.

So for now I have made some schemes to help Master (ssdc already knows what I want) understand what's needed to be done (listed) once we have the model ready... I have decide to post all here as a source of information for master and ssdc ... and by the way, share it with you all :wink:

Here what's needed to be done for the next unskinned beta verison:

-Put the lights at the places where I put the plane polys (all attached).
-Resize the model by 10% bigger (this is supposed to be made by ssdc.. I'm pointing this here to not have the model resized 2 times.
-Make the chiefs able to loose health or die when falling from more or less high (the normal way).
-Make the water visible to the infinity.
-Put a fog under the surface of the water then transparant again in deepth water(if possible); If not possible just put a (normal) fog that
allows to be able to see a little bit in the undergroud tunnel.
-Place the Flags on top (roof) of the 2 towers (CFT mode).
-make the lift cage in glass from the bottom to the top (this includes inside the last ground of the towers).
-add the sound tags (three songs) (this is for Rec0).
-Place 2 ghosts on top of the central ramp (as show on the "A" pic).
-create the 2 gravity lifts (as shown on the "B" pic).
-Place the 4 spawning points at their places (as shown on the "C" pic).
-Place 6 hogs (3 hogs at each side of the glass in the central ramp) : 2 bullet hogs, 2 rocket hogs and 2 halo2 hogs (as shown on the "D" pic).
-Place 2 Halo1 turrets (and fix them if possible... cause the canon doesn't wheel) (as shown on the "E" and "F" pics).
-Place the Teleporter (the halo2 ones) (placed as shown on the pics "G" and "H").
-Place all the weapons and health packs (as shown on the pics).

M4 doesnt map he release maps that other poeple work on he starts a team and when his team "not him" finish a map he releases it he can only do tags

This update actually makes me like the map.

I was actually (honestly) disliking it a lot. But this makes it look fun to play.

Couldnt you make "yoyorast" "buggy" instead, halo 2 stuff is so unoriginal and this map is so original.. I would rather drive a box on wheels than another halo 2 hog..

ok here's the deal (as far as I know): there are going to be only TWO things from Halo 2. The hogs (don't know if they're ripped) and something else (I think you all know :wink: )

Well, I think that what makes a good mod is originality. Hmm, well you could think of a brand name for a car, hmm "C3" hmm Animal names are popular.. komodo.. Komada C3, y4y.
