However, the 5.56mm Nato round moves at a higher velocity, has much higher muzzle energy, and has an effective range of about 3x as far. I would rather have the large exit would, because the excessive bleeding would come out of 2 holes, therefore drawing more than twice as much blood, as the exit wound is much larger than the entry. The 7.62x51 can make instant kills, while the 5.56mm will inflict less damage in the initial shot.SnaFuBAR wrote:definately a heavy version. like an m16 vs. an AK-47. size doesn't matter as much as stopping power. and don't draw stopping power from caliber. 22 caliber creates a wound that is acceptable in combat because the projectile, once entering a body, follows a curved path, rather than going straight through. the 30 caliber round, however, creates a wound straight through, with a larger exit wound. both will drop you easily.Katarn wrote:for non-gun nuts around here. This shoots bigger bullets. Alot bigger.

I've always liked guns and cool stuff that flies, goes into outer space an junk, but I got arrested a while back, and on the way in the police car, I was kind of firightened by the shotgun in the car. Not that I cared that it was there, just the sight of it put me off. You always think that guns and killing power is cool, but then in real life when you actually see it, you wimper and run away.
In video games I can easily crash and die in a plane going 500 MPH, but when I try to ride a motorcycle I reak out. Lol, I get freaked out when mom drives to fast, or this one time when I rode my cousins dirtbike! Going 150 MPH around a slight turn with the bike at 50 degrees freaks me out to.
