I think the general idea here is that the clip/handle needs to be worked on just a bit more... btw love the stock, looks so much better.

Hey, how long have you been modeling?

jks, if you want my crappy, but animated brute, I could give it to you.

Its got a decent skeleton, but since I made it in about 3 hours without even looking at a real brute, the mesh isn't worth much. So you want it for this map, like a dead scenery thing or character(you'd have to fix the mesh)?

Ok, think very weird shapes, cobbled up to form a brute. The helmet is funny, head is just a deformed circle, no hands, no feet, done in under 4 hours without even looking at a picture of a real brute, I think it looks OK.

But thats only cuz I rushed it, and I have school towmarrow with tons of homework I haven't done, and its 9:23 PM here.

If actually had the tools and time, I could put together a very beautiful brute. Given the conditions, I think it is a good rig.

I'd be modeling and animating like crazy if only I actually had, like, a tool that does something.

But I'm learning Direct-X Scene Management which, FYI, is the method used by Bungie, Valve, Pixar, and pretty much any other cinematics department on the world, to create ACTUAL cinematics. Its a lot harder than doing it in 3Ds Max, because it consists of 80% code.

jks, I know my rig ain't worth shit, but its good prograss when I had to start from scratch. And you didn't answer my original question; how long have you been modeling?

hello everyone. Sorry that this is my first post here. I've been doing a hell of alot of work. With over 2 maps to work on, and plenty of weapons to tag, it's gonna be very busy for me.

i came up with the plasma shotgun when i first started modeling weapons. I often tried to make covie snipers, shotguns, & rocket type things. I don't give a hoot if you believe me or not.

Oh I wouldnt call myself a modeller quite yet, you could say Ive been learning for the past week, along with Photoshop. But its pretty easy to pick up.

Well, atleast you have the time. I got so much school stuff, it is literally piled on my desk. Can't wait until summer time.

Anyway, so you have been modeling for like a week and already you can make a brute and master cheif dancing? (Like model them starting with a sphere?)

And you use 3ds Max, right? Well, my trial for it expired so I'm screwed.

looks like a dragon's head. You should probably try to visulize how this thing would be held by its creator or user.

You mean the shock rifle?

Looks pretty good, but you need some smoothing. and a few easy fixes. Back 'fin' is much to large. etc.

but other than that its great

Yeah sorry about the rough job. It was like 1:30 AM when I finished it up so I wan not in the best of conditions to do much of anything. But I fixed it now. I added some bulk and some area adjustments. It looks way better than the first.

Actually, I reccomend either making it a cannon to go on MC's shoulder, or make it needler-ish and bend the spiky part forward and add a bottom part.
