i think the tool problem has to do with any kinda of glass you have. if you don't have any then it's asking for a shader. i had the same problem & it ended up being glass material...

You never named your shader in Max, and created a shader with the exact same name as that one in Guerilla. The level making video tuts actually show this. Custom models and stuff require the exact same thing for shaders.
ya, but some things need different materials-i'll say again: if it is glass then you must have a separate material(raytrace mb?) for it...you aren't going to be able to attatch it with the other mesh unless you do like materials to id's or something like that. also, if you ask me-make the material a multi-subject/object-unless you already have it, cuz it's a lot easier. anyways, i'm still dumb with vehicles so...

well if its glass then u just take the plane or box of the glass and apply a texture to it that has an alpha level and have that alpha be at about 75%. then after uv done bitmaps for everything u gotta make a shader glass and use the bitmap u used on the glass
