A no grenade MOD

Post by AgentSmith1515 »

Is there an "Game type editer" or "game varient editer" that would get rid of grenades (both kinds) for Halo CE? If there isn't an editer could somebodie make a mod for Rat Race and Hang Em High, that would work with Halo CE.

Thank you for help in advance.

Mod?

You don't mod Halo CE...you create things...modifications...

And just do it in the gametypes!

yes, just open the gametype editor, from the multiplayer menu....

or if you want to go through alot of trouble you could swap both 'nade projectiles for a random piece of junk.

Does that work? Would it get rid of grenades in people's inventory?

go to the files forum and downlowd Halo Map tools from the utilities section. then open up the map you wish to effect the changes on (in HMT) and navigate to weapons/plasma grenade. now go to a random piece of very small scenery, some sort of fragment piece, in th eupper-left corner is a box labled meta, in it is a hex value, copy that. paste it into the matching slot in the plasma-grenade meta box and hit save. repeat for weapons/frag grenade, open the map in the game (after closing HMT) and test it out.

No, you cannot do this with CE maps.

Try playing online, people won't be able to join.

They don't, that's for custom maps.

It's only for PC you can edit the already-made Bungie and Gearbox maps.

Just edit the gametypes! Its that simple. You should no how to do that by now.

And to make a custom map, you need:
    3ds max/gmax http://www.discreet.com
the HEK (Halo Edit Kit) http://www.levels4you.com/review.l4y?file=8595
The HEK comes with sapien, guerilla, tool, and a tutorial on how to use it. I recommend using the tutorials on this site instead. They are video tuorials and are very nice and easy to follow. http://www.halomods.com/index.php?topic=Tutorials
Also, you might want to get milkshape, but it is not necesary. http://www.download.com/MilkShape-3D/30 ... 62065.html

That should be all you need to get started, good luck!

to remove the effects you would need HHT (halo hacker tools, also in the files forum) but here goes:

    01. Open the map in HMT
    02. Open the JPT! tags
    03. Find the grenade explosions
    04. In the right-=hand box, set damage, blast-radius, and shaking to 0
    05. Close HMT
    06. Open the map in HHT
    07. Navigate to the grenades
    08. For all the effects dependencies, click on them (in the right-hand box) and null them out. (bottom-right box, dropdown, sellect <null>, hit swap)
    09. Hit save
    10. Close and test.
