that still wouldn't work, you would have to compensate for lag. You could probably calculate the speed of the player and predict where he would be and fire at the estimated position, but that would be stupid and buggy.

Exactly, though in Q3 and [especially] Half-Life most of the multihacks and aimbots were written for OpenGL, programmers don't get the option of hacking OpenGL at all for Halo. To my knowledge there haven't been any public releases of any such hacks for Halo. Of course there could be private ones.
well, actually the one i was reffering to did not use any GL exploits, it merely looked to where the vec-3 coordinates were stored in the memory and modified your heading vec-3 to point you the right way. This has an excellent side-effect, PunkBuster can't detect it because it is not a part of Q3 and uses no exploits that are. :D

that's no fake. It required trigonometry to rotate, which I was very proud of. Everytime I upload it, halomods deletes it.

ok, I have had tons of experience with 3d games, and in my java course I learnt about inserting this data, it is impossible to edit the game world outside of the game engine, you need the source code for any of this to happen, so for it to "scan" basically a triggered turn to which it would automatically fire on someones head isnt possible.

Please stop talking about how you could "create" one, it is against the forum rules.
