IDEA: Special Ops Map
IDEA: Special Ops Map
I just got this idea for a map that i thought would be pretty fun. Like a small urban street set in some desert environment like Iraq with extensive indoor paths going throughout buildings surrounding the street. There would be two main buildings at the ends where the flags would be kept up high in the building or on the roof. there might be a sniper tower or two, maybe some flipped warthog turned into scenery or something in the middle of the map that could act as a place to take cover. Lots of niches and corners to hide behind and no vehicles. You would have modern weapons like ak47s and stuff. It mike take a lot of time but thats how good maps are made. Tell me what you think of this
trust me, on experience, cities are a PAIN IN THE ASS. it sounds like a good idea now... but then you go, "ah, it would be cool if <insert idea here>" then you do it, then you do more, and more, and more, and then you go... oh... shit... uh-oh. when i started Last Stand, it was going to be a small map. look what happened to it. as your ideas grow, so does the size of your map, and so does the poly count.
if you're going to pursue this idea, KEEP IT SMALL.
