Help needed...

Post by BigBowser »

I would like importing objects (.obj) from Halo 2 maps. I've 3ds max 6, Photoshop..... I know I need the Gmax script to import the .obj. I've just 2 questions:

-> I saw the gmax support website doesn't work (actually). So can someone give me a link to download GMax Importer.ms (please I really need it)

-> And also, when I extracted the MasterChief's objects, I had a lot of files: masterchief.arms.base.1/masterchief.arms.base.2....
masterchief.body.base.1/masterchief.body.base.1....
But in the tutorial of Platt (here) he says :
Import the following into 3DSMax
masterchief.16
masterchief.17
masterchief.18
masterchief.19
I haven't got these.

My questions are long but not the answers I think. :)

Why do you want a file for gmax file if you are using 3dsm? :?

It makes absolutly no sense!

There is no gmax importer for max.. Just get gmax, download an .obj exporter, then download a .obj importer for max and do it.

You are right though, you can use obj to transfer from gmax to 3ds max, also you could use md3 to transfer, umm, you could use milkshape for alot of the transferring from gmax to 3dsm.

I usually try not to be, but now I have a hard time remembering when I made that post and what was going through this mind of mine at the time... I think I was mad. Bah, mood swings :x
