Hehe, thanks. I just came back from a long break from the computer so I'm trying to make up for it :wink:

EDIT: I noticed your signature, I REALLY liked the concept and idea of Yoyorast Island. YO has some serious skills, how is that map going anyway, has it been released yet?

Are you using texporter? The model is great and skin is ok, but if you use texporter there are some tricks and you can get some pretty sweet colours, and the way I think you should try making a gun is by making a chrome texture, include some chrome hilights and some scratches, then you can dull it down a bit, add a handle which can be made by just drawing it on nicely and then adding some brushes or filters or whatever, and then add some extra shadows.

After that I would search for a texture baker, so you can take the rendered gun and bake the information with all of the shadows and all generated render maps and just bake that.

Make the silencer not so fat and its perfect, also you could mess around with the handle, but that might be the main thing that separates this from any other gun. 9.9999999999999999999999/10.

Hey Samio.

I like this model more than your others lol.

I personally like it better without the silencer, but if you altered it a bit (size wise) i bet it could look amazing. Also, very nice job on the skin. Mind telling me how many polys?

Also, did you use a reference pic? If so, can I see it? PM or Posted here, doesn't matter to me. Liking what you make lately, so I want to see exactly how you do things, because your comming from a different angle than other modelers out there.

Once again, great job. I think I'll go try a gun like that now. I'm quitting the Red Faction 2 guns...*sigh*

Looks good, and all, but you forgot to do one thing.....
Add holes in the pistol on the front side, so it will actually look like pistol. Overall the models are great. How many polys is it? it looks like it ha lots of them.

Sorry for such a late reply but I didn't get a chance to check the forums lately.

Polycount on the P22's =

Vertices = 2044
Faces = 3744

Pie: Yea, this is my favorite model that I've made. =P I don't know why but it kind of represents my modeling as a whole. Actually I like the Nighthawk I modeled (Pics below), it's the same model with some attachments to it, I love it. (It's like a night gaurd gun.)

sonictag: Yes, I'm using texporter, you seem to be very informed about skinning and such. I'll try your suggestions =)

{WoD}Deamon: If you mean holes in the front at the barrell then the reason I left the holes out is because I modeled it with the idea that it would be going into a map, so the tip of the barrell is never really seen in the game so I just wanted to save some poly's.

And here is a ref pic I used when modelling the P22
