Well, then they don't have to flame Dan for something they forgot, now do they?Equinox wrote:Um, HunterXI, i don't think that anyone gives a **** about the Technicallities of Dan!!!'s leaving and returning, and you don't have to flame people for not knowing something that is easy to forget...

You know what? I snap more easily these days. As the Internet expands and grows dense, it becomes harder for us, the people who blast silly and stupid rumors. People are more gullible. But it's not just that; some of them go to great lengths to uphold something that makes no sense. They make my life hell because I point out the inherrent lack of logic. It's like they will defend something because they want to believe. Example: some people (few, none of the people who are reading this) flame Bungie about not having released halo 1.5. Halo 1.5 never existed. It was a rumor cooked up by OXM. If that rumor hadn't been let to run so rampant, it would have never been a problem. Another is the goddamn "February 9th!!!!1111 omg" Rumor. Give me a break. Bungie said that nothing is happening. Bungie has never directly lied about anything. I suggest you get over it. Why do you want so badly to believe in it? Do you need it to believe that the things you find bad in Halo 2 will be fixed? Some people just won't like Halo 2; I suggest you get over that too. Please stop making up annoying crap and try to find what you like about the game and exploit them. Suppress the things you don't like. Just stop annoying me.

cos the fact is,, oh this is gonna piss u off, everyones entitled to his or her opinions. and remember, ur not always right. yeh, i agree theres probably nothing gonna happen on feb 9th, but it doesnt stop people discussing it. does it? what ive learned, is that bungie marketing people are clever, and know what they are doing. the ILB thing, and now the feb 9, just more hype, for halo, more sales, more money. do u think halo would have been as big as a phenomenon if there wasnt the ILB thing? idk, but when u dont know, u debate and discuss, and talk,, rather than being arrogant, anti social and pretending u know it all. otherwise, what are forums for?
and you say to Suppress the things you don't like. NO WAY!
Yay, now it is Peter's turn for argument.
I agree more than 100% with HunterXI.
And about 10% with {ST} 117.
Okay. Here I go.
HunterXI, great points and upholding statements. All of that is true for the most part. Bungie had no collaboration with the ILB thing. Someone or some people made it as a joke, and then it got big. When it got big they decided to elaborate on it and make it bigger. Then would you look at that! Almost every Halo forum is talking about it. The fact that people are saying that Bungie is responsible for it, is jsut proof that they give in to the common perception of business. It's not all that it is cracked up to be. Bungie, in the least, has not lied about anything really, there are these little thigns called Half-Truths, which peopel tend to take too far. For example, when Bungie said they had nothing to do with ILB, then they had nothing to do with ILB, and there is no way to prove they did. But we have proof they didn't, trust. Secondly, this is where the Half-Truth comes in, when they proclaimed that there would be no more Halo's, they meant it. There is not going to be another Halo. BUt the public believes so, and Bungies knows that, and there is going to be one. here is the marketing trick: In truth, there is not going to be anymore Halo's, but there is going to be another game in the Halo series. The trick is, it will have a different name. So they realyl did not lie about that at all. Just trying to trick people, so they actually have some time to work without tons of stuff. Feburary Nineth, remember all those rumors about it? I'm sure you do. Somethign may happen on it, but nothign relevant to this. Maybe a great map is released by a forum-regular. Whoo-hoo. I'm sure rumors will start saying that he was the one who started the message. Rumors are horrible things, especially when they are not true. Hence the word Rumor. A Rumor is something that can or cannot be true, and is generally not true. Now i'll take an example out of my own life for this. There was a rumor going around my school, this was in eighth grade in case you wanted to know, that i had a Hitlist. I did not. But people believed it because they wanted to believe it. Gossip is the number one thing in the world. People live off of it because they can't seem to want to live their own life, but instead much watch someone elses. Playing with a life as if it was a video game is wrong. The Sims, do you remember that game? You make the little people do what you want, etc, hooray. But, real life is a little different. In The Sims, they never swore at you, and there were never consequences. There are no "Cheats" in real life. And rumors are what cause most of the worlds issues, as we know it. "Hey, Saddam has weapons of mass destruction" Oh, then let's go kill thousands of innocent peopel to get to him. "Oops, I guess there were none". If you haven't noticed by now, i'm branching off into something bigger than just the game rumors and how they start and are told. But that is okay, it all falls into the same book. If you hear a rumor, you can choose to believe it or not. But please, don't spread them. The least you can do is actually go to the person, themselves, and ask if it is true. 90% of the time it isn't. 5% of the time they are lying to hide. But even if...oh what was that little phrase? Oh yes, "Innocent Until Proven Guilty". First impressions suck. Don't take them. Rumors suck. Don't believe them.
I'm done with my little rant right now, hope you enjoyed it because now my fingers hurt.

1. Telling people to f*** off is not being anti-social. It's being pissed off.{ST} 117 wrote: idk, but when u dont know, u debate and discuss, and talk,, rather than being arrogant, anti social and pretending u know it all. otherwise, what are forums for?
2. Correct. When you don't know, you speculate and discuss, not say "OMG I R RITE SOMETING WILL HAPPEN ON FEB 9". Saying that something DEFINITELY will happen can be called just as arrogant, anti-social, and know-it-allistic as whatever I seem to be doing to you people.
3. Good spelling + grammar + punctuation = good. Please practice as so. My eyes would greatly appreciate it.
4. Uh, I'd say that these forums are for Halo 1 & 2.
