Water trouble

Post by scubaneo13 »

Hey, Merry Christmas, I am having trouble making water in my level. I named the material "water!" without the quotes and when I run it through tool, I get an open edge error on the outside edges of the plane for the water. Does anyone know what I might of done wrong, Thank you.

in the material editor eitehr gmax or 3dsmax you have to put +water as the name of your water shader/texture

you then build the tags with tool and guerilla

Or you can download sonictag's excellent rendering tutorial.
It (at least in the first half) is very good, and he shows how to make water without using any prebuilt tools.
Enough, it looks funky.

I don't think he's trying to render water, I think he's trying to put water in his level
