i'm starting to make halo flash movies but i need sounds

okayy. i have the sprites downloaded from files.halomdos. now, i need the gun sounds.

when i save a sound from HMT, it comes out as a .wav file but, appearently, i am not able to play it in windows media player, or convert it. i need a way to convert the .wav sound so that i can play it.

so... how can i get .wav files (gun sounds) from HMT to play on windows media player?
i've seen many master chief renders. where do these people get Master Chief's model?
